Schaduwspel

For over a year now, I’ve been recording my movements every week using an AI-powered camera. In these sessions, I simply move — dance, play, explore — guided only by my own physicality. There is no choreography, no script. Just me, responding to the moment with my body.

All of these recordings are now being used to train an AI — developed in collaboration with Luc Weytingh — to create a shadow of me. A digital double that can predict how I move.

This project, called Schaduwspel (Shadow Play), is a conversation between my body and its possibilities. Over time, it has become a way to explore how movement transforms — not just in the body, but through its digital reflection. It’s about observing how the body is echoed, distorted, extended — and how that echo, in turn, begins to shape me.
